Frugal Adventures
For the last couple of years, hunting for deals has become a way of life- not sure who inspired me to do this but I love every minute of it. Usually when I talk about my deals, I am totally the outcast.. no matter if I am talking to a friend, family member or co-worker BUT I have realized there are others like me (that know how to get even better deals!!)- after this weekend's extreme couponing class taught by Kristin Harrison and a lecture by Dave Ramsey, I have stepped it UP! And, because I am a huge nerd I am going to start posting the deals I get on here :) The more deal's I get on stupid stuff (toothpaste, laundry soap, food), the more moolah we have to spend the way we want! See, it's not crazy!!

June 17, 2006
June 17th is so special to me :) It's one of my very favorite days of the year.. I married my Matt Heiden in 2006 and it was such an amazing day. The things that made it amazing were the love and support we were given by so many. Our wedding was during a very busy time. Matt and I graduated from Ball State in May, started new jobs 2 days after we graduated, and bought a home in Pendleton. So many exciting things mixed with a not-so-exciting thing (the death of my grandpa "Daddo" whom I loved more than I could ever describe and miss so much that I can still hear his voice and smell his smell) made this season of my life incredibly bittersweet and unforgettable.
We have the greatest families...
Anything my mom touches turns into gold in my book... she made the planning of the wedding and the day so fun. I will never forget when we picked out my veil. I got a cathedral one because my mom and I agreed that a tall girl should have a long veil. She wanted me to have everything I wanted and made everything perfect. I wanted her opinion with every little detail and she was so happy to help me :)
Matt's mom and dad were great- Shelley designed and handcrafted each wedding invitation, our monogram, our aisle runner design, a beautiful sign outside of the church, and so much more. She's so creative and reminiscent which made things so memorable and her special touch was magical!
Not only did I wear the most beautiful dress, spend the day with my very best friends, have my sister stand up with me as my maid of honor, dance the night away, gained so many wonderful gifts from so many wonderful friends, leave for a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic the next morning, I was blessed to unite with my very favorite person in the world. Matt and I had something special the first time we met and I still get that special feeling when I see him today. I am so thankful to have experienced marriage the way God designed it and this is why I LOVE June 17th :) I love you, Matt Heiden!!
